reccomend em pal. …
reccomend em pal. I’m not emo, but I like REAL emo. Like Sunny Day, I hate the recent crap. It’s a scheme to make money. It’s all the same whiney bullcrap (except for Paramore). So please!

Stay around
Running out
Time servant
Trip through the warm wind
Feeling
Sulking
My impression grows
Swayed stars part of my room

Yeah, I’m …
Yeah, I’m particularly out of the loop, my comments were only aimed at the silly mainstream stuff. Who is representing these days?
November 13th, 2009 at 11:08 am
I can reccomend …
I can reccomend ALOT of new Emo and “Emo-ish” bands, if you want. The real genre is still very much alive.

Seriously, One of …
Seriously, One of the BEST songs I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing over and over! Hope to hear it in NYC or Boston!! I’ve never been so excited to see a band!

It’s incredible …
It’s incredible that music dubbed “emo” stayed good as long as it did. Anytime you bring melodrama into art it will attract and be snatched up by lowest common denominator artists. Emo had a great run, it’s hillarious that bands now even use this term.
November 13th, 2009 at 11:08 am
its hard to believe …
its hard to believe that emo music went from SDRE-like sounds to where it is in the “mainstream” today. its probably the biggest mistake musics taken in the last 20 years (outside of pop).

Jesus christ, why …
Jesus christ, why is it I couldn’t even find this on ytube six months ago? This is my fav song! And yeah this is where emo began, I’m not sure why the genre turned into what it is now with roots like this. Yes it is an offshoot of indie/grunge which is itself a product of punk. I myself can feel all those influences in SDRE, not so much in mainstream emo now, IMHO.
Long live SDRE and Jawbreaker.
And ur not the only one jizzing in ur about the re-issue ^_^

November 13th, 2009 at 11:08 am
i would much rather …
i would much rather classify this as indie rock than emo. although the sound was a foundation to the newer emo sound. the thing is SDRE should be disgraced to see the new gay emo bands.

should be 1,000 times that despite the absence of a video. Incredible song!
November 13th, 2009 at 11:08 am
seriously…? …
seriously…? come on…this album…and maybe Diary more so, is a cornerstone in the foundation of Emo.
yes, it was during the Grunge era, but genre’s are not that clean cut and dry….they overlap one another and you can cite evolutions from one style into the next.
